Actually, no. Although Toblerone bars originated in Bern, Switzerland, their name is not a real word. These perfect confections, created with an exquisite combination of milk chocolate, honey, and almond nougat, were named partially after their creator (Theodor Tobler) and partially after their ingredients (“torrone” is the Italian word for “nougat”). So combine Tobler and torrone and youve got the name for the worlds most delicious Swiss chocolate-honey-almond trio!
Since 1908, the name Toblerone has come to be synonymous with an extraordinary chocolate experience. And while these tiny Toblerones may be smaller in stature, who says size matters? What they lack in mass they make up for in superior Swiss chocolate taste. Plus, these individually wrapped beauties are the perfect proportions for snacking and sharing!
